This additive is used to increase the adhesion of plastisol inks to nylon and polyester surfaces. General mix ratio is 5% by weight, up to 8% for high pigment load inks. Mixed ink has a shelf-life and will only be printable for 4-8 hours and should be cleaned from screen when done printing. Full adhesion will occur 24-48 hours after printing.

Mixing:

By volume = 16 parts ink to 1 part catalyst   

By weight = 20 parts ink to 1 part catalyst

(1-OZ of catalyst to 1 pint of ink   

2-OZ of catalyst to 1 quart of ink   

8-OZ of catalyst to 1 gallon of ink)

• 900 Catalyst can also be combined with ink at 2-3% to reduce fibrillation (fiber lift) occuring after washing.
• Adding catalyst can also improve adhesion on many other fabrics, not just nylon.
• 900 Catalyst can also improve adhesion to leather or vinyl substrates, but it is crucial to test that the substrate can withstand the 320 degree F cure temperatures required to cure the ink.
