Artwork Guidelines for Dye-Sublimation
Send us clean, high-quality artwork so we can produce vibrant, professional results on apparel and soft goods.
Great dye-sublimation starts with great artwork. Files that are properly prepared help us keep your colors bright, your details sharp, and your finished product looking polished. This guide explains what to send, what works best, and what to avoid before uploading your design.
Best file types
For dye-sublimation, the best files are usually high-resolution or print-ready formats such as:
- PDF.
- PNG.
- AI.
- EPS.
- PSD.
- SVG.
If possible, upload the highest-quality version of your artwork available. Vector files are especially helpful for designs that need to scale cleanly.
Good sublimation artwork is usually:
- High resolution.
- Crisp and clear.
- Designed at the correct final size.
- Free of blur or pixelation.
- Saved in the right file format for printing.
Because sublimation is a full-color process, the cleaner your artwork is, the better the final result will look.
Color guidelines
Dye-sublimation is known for bright, full-color printing. To get the best results:
- Use strong, vibrant colors.
- Make sure contrast is clear.
- Avoid faded or low-quality images.
- Check that your artwork looks correct at full size.
If your design includes brand colors, send us those references so we can match them as closely as possible.
Backgrounds
For most apparel and soft goods, transparent backgrounds are preferred when needed. If your design is meant to cover the full product or includes a solid background, make sure that is part of the final artwork. Let us know if the background should print or be removed.
To keep your sublimation order looking its best, avoid sending:
- Blurry screenshots.
- Low-resolution images.
- Heavily compressed files.
- Artwork that is too small for the intended print size.
- Designs with unwanted backgrounds.
- Faded images that may not print clearly.
Artwork tips for apparel
For shirts, jerseys, hoodies, and other apparel, make sure your design is sized correctly for the garment. Large graphics may need to be adjusted depending on the print area, and smaller logos should still remain readable and sharp.
Artwork tips for soft goods
For items like towels, blankets, and tote bags, make sure the design fits the shape and size of the product. Because these items can vary in print area, it helps to include placement notes or any layout preferences with your file.
Please include:
- Your artwork file.
- The product you want printed.
- Print size or placement details.
- Quantity needed.
- Any special notes about layout or colors.
The more detail you provide, the easier it is for us to prepare your order correctly.
